In 2004 Steve became the youngest person to ever be placed in the International Brotherhood of Magicians Close up Competition in Eastbourne.
Steve was promptly invited to the 4F (Fechters Finger Flicking Frolics) an invitation only magic convention in New York for the top 200 magicians in the world.
Steve's award winning act was chosen to end one of the main gala close up shows at this prestigious event.
Before flying out to New York, Steve became a finalist at the Magic Circle's ‘Young Magician of the Year’ competition.
As a result of this, Steve had been invited to take part as a performer in the Magic Circle Centenary Celebration.

In March 2005 Steve was chosen by the Magic Circle to film for BBC Blue Peter to represent the Magic Circle and Royal Mail's stamp collaboration to celebrate the Magic Circle's Centenary year.
Later in the Year Steve became the Young Magician of the Year and was subsequently invited to perform at the Magic Circle Centenery Celebrations and to appear on TV once again, this time accompanied by Paul Daniels.
